Most interfaces fail by addition. A badge here, a gradient there, a tooltip nobody asked for — each defensible alone, ruinous together. This course is about the opposite habit: deciding what a screen is for, then removing everything that competes with it.
We work through four long sessions. The first is hierarchy — how a reader's eye actually moves and how little you need to steer it. The second is density, and why the comfortable spacing in a portfolio shot makes a working tool miserable. The third is colour used as information rather than decoration. The fourth is motion, and the narrow set of cases where it earns its cost.
Written for designers with two or more years of product work. No prior reading required.
